1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sarkaari Saathi ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our") at sarkaarisaathi.in and any associated subdomains or mobile applications, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The most current version will always be published at this URL.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, in which case "you" refers to both you and the organisation.

2. Description of Service

Sarkaari Saathi is an independent information and exam preparation platform that aggregates publicly available data about Indian government jobs, competitive examinations (UPSC, SSC, IBPS, Railways, State PSCs, Defence, etc.), admit cards, results, scholarships, and related notifications. The Platform also offers:

AI-powered study assistance and mock tests
Personalised exam preparation plans and progress tracking
Community forums and peer discussion spaces
PDF resources, notes, and previous year question papers
Job-matching and application tracking tools
Career coaching and interview preparation features

Sarkaari Saathi is not an official government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government body, ministry, recruitment board, or public sector undertaking. All official information should be verified at the respective official websites before acting on it.

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Platform require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
Maintain the security of your password and accept all responsibility for activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@sarkaarisaathi.in if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Not share your login credentials with any other person or entity.
Not create accounts using automated means or under false pretences.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or are inactive for more than 24 consecutive months. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, which will initiate deletion of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Use of Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes. This licence does not include any right to:

Resell or commercially exploit any part of the Platform or its content.
Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or otherwise exploit Platform material for commercial purposes.
Use any automated scraping, crawling, or data mining tools against the Platform.
Frame or mirror any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
Access the Platform in order to build a competing product or service.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Platform:

Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
Uploading, transmitting, or distributing viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or any connected systems or networks.
Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Platform.
Harassing, threatening, abusing, or defaming other users in community spaces.
Posting spam, unsolicited promotional content, or chain messages in forums.
Impersonating any person, entity, or government official.
Collecting or harvesting personally identifiable information of other users.
Using the Platform to spread misinformation or fabricated exam-related notifications.
Bypassing any rate-limiting, access controls, or security measures we implement.
Engaging in any activity that places an unreasonably large load on our infrastructure.
Using our AI features to generate or distribute content that is harmful, deceptive, or violates any law.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where warranted, referral to law enforcement authorities.

6. Intellectual Property

Our content: The Platform, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, data compilations, and the overall arrangement thereof, is the property of Sarkaari Saathi or its licensors and is protected under Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, adapt, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Government/public data: Information sourced from official government notifications, gazette publications, and public recruitment boards is in the public domain. We claim no ownership over such underlying data; however, our selection, arrangement, enrichment, and presentation of that data are proprietary.

User-generated content: By submitting content to community forums, reviews, or any other user-facing feature, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Platform, you acknowledge that we may use such feedback without any obligation to compensate you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Any information on the Platform (including exam dates, vacancy counts, eligibility criteria, results, or cut-offs) is accurate, complete, or up-to-date at the time of access.
Results obtained from the use of the Platform will meet your requirements or expectations.
Errors in the Platform will be corrected.

Always verify critical information — application deadlines, eligibility, fee details, and admit card instructions — directly from the official recruitment authority's website before taking any action.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SARKARI SAATHI, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Platform.
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform.
Any content obtained from the Platform.
Reliance on inaccurate or outdated government exam information displayed on the Platform.
Missed application deadlines or examination dates.
Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from your use of the Platform exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) INR 500.

9. Paid Features and Subscriptions

Certain premium features of the Platform require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase. All payments are processed through Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's terms of service.

Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable Indian consumer protection law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us within 7 days of the charge at support@sarkaarisaathi.in with your order ID and reason.

Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until that date.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price changes.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites including official government portals (india.gov.in, ssc.nic.in, upsc.gov.in, etc.), external resources, and partner services. These links are provided solely for your convenience. We have no control over the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting any linked website is at your own risk.

Our AI features are powered by third-party AI providers (including OpenAI). Use of these features is additionally subject to those providers' usage policies. Do not share sensitive personal information such as Aadhaar numbers, bank details, OTPs, or passwords with the AI assistant.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand our data collection and use practices.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sarkaari Saathi and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Platform, including, but not limited to, content you submit, your connection to the Platform, your violation of any rights of another party, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, apply to the extent relevant.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, or the use of the Platform, shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

15. Changes to the Platform

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform (including features, pricing, and content) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

16. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sarkaari Saathi with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
