Is PAN-Aadhaar linking mandatory?

Yes, it is mandatory for all Indian resident PAN holders as per Section 139AA of Income Tax Act. Failure makes PAN inoperative — you cannot file ITR or do financial transactions.

What is the late fee for PAN-Aadhaar linking?

Can NRIs apply for PAN?
