About This Scholarship

CSIR-NET JRF provides research fellowship to candidates who qualify the Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam for science subjects. Unlike UGC-NET which covers humanities, CSIR-NET covers Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must qualify CSIR-UGC-NET with JRF score
• Enrolled in PhD at CSIR lab or university
• Age relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/PwD/women

Benefits & Amount

• ✓₹37,000/month for 2 years (JRF)
• ✓₹42,000/month for 3 years (SRF)
• ✓Contingency grant: ₹20,000–₹70,000/year
• ✓HRA as per GoI norms
