Regional Rural Banks, established under RRB Act 1976, are government-sponsored banks serving rural India with a focus on agricultural and rural credit. There are currently 43 RRBs after amalgamation, jointly owned by Central Government (50%), sponsor banks (35%), and state governments (15%). They specifically serve small and marginal farmers, artisans, and rural workers.

Field Verification
