PMAY-U aims to provide housing for all urban poor by 2024 through four verticals: In-Situ Slum Redevelopment, Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS), Affordable Housing in Partnership, and Beneficiary-Led Construction. It covers EWS, LIG, and MIG beneficiaries in 4,041 statutory urban areas.

• CLSS: interest subsidy of 3-6.5% on home loan (₹1.0-2.67 lakh NPV)
• Beneficiary-Led Construction: ₹1.5 lakh central assistance for EWS families
• In-Situ Slum Redevelopment: free house for eligible slum dwellers
• EWS: income up to ₹3 lakh; LIG: ₹3-6 lakh; MIG I: ₹6-12 lakh; MIG II: ₹12-18 lakh
• House mandatorily in name of woman member/jointly
