UGC provides National Fellowships to SC students for pursuing M.Phil and PhD programmes in universities and institutions recognised by UGC. The fellowship covers junior research fellowship (JRF) and senior research fellowship (SRF) stages with enhanced stipend, enabling SC students to access quality research education.

🎁Key Benefits

• JRF stipend: ₹31,000/month for first two years
• SRF stipend: ₹35,000/month from third year onwards
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per university city norms
• Annual contingency grant: ₹10,000 (JRF); ₹20,500 (SRF) for science; ₹8,000 (JRF); ₹10,000 (SRF) for humanities
• 2,000 new fellowships per year
