JNNURM Phase II Extended (2013-2014)

The Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission was extended for a transitional period of two years (2012-14) after its original closure in March 2012. This extension allowed completion of on-going projects and approval of new bus procurement under the urban transport component. The extension period served as a bridge until the AMRUT and Smart Cities Mission framework was designed under the new government from 2014.
