JSY is a safe motherhood intervention under the National Health Mission (NHM), integrating cash assistance with delivery and post-delivery care. It promotes institutional deliveries among poor pregnant women, especially in low-performing states, by providing cash incentives for delivery in a government or accredited private health institution.

🎁Key Benefits

• Rural BPL mothers: ₹1,400 cash benefit in Low Performing States (LPS)
• Urban BPL mothers: ₹1,000 cash benefit in LPS
• In High Performing States (HPS): ₹700 (rural); ₹600 (urban)
• ASHA worker incentive: ₹600 (rural LPS); ₹400 (urban LPS)
• SC/ST mothers regardless of parity or age in LPS are eligible
