IPOP provides grants-in-aid to NGOs and other institutions for establishing and running old age homes, day care centres, mobile Medicare units, and for providing non-institutional services to elderly persons. It is implemented under the AVYAY umbrella scheme to ensure a dignified life for senior citizens.
