The Assam Tea Plantation Provident Fund is a statutory provident fund for workers of tea plantations in Assam, governed under the Assam Tea Plantation Provident Fund & Pension Fund Scheme 1955. It provides retirement savings and pension to the large tea plantation workforce in Assam, one of the world's largest tea-growing regions.
Employer Registers Worker
Tea garden management registers all eligible workers under the Assam Tea Plantations PF Act.
PF Account Allotted
Worker receives a PF account number; contributions begin from date of enrollment.
Monthly Contributions Deducted
Both employer and employee contribute monthly; reflected in wage statement.
Claim on Retirement or Exit
Submit PF withdrawal form through the tea garden employer to the PF commissioner.
